We've launched a new free app that is a revolutionary new idea for world peace. As of this writing, we have seen 42,749 downloads. It really couldn't be easier to make the world a better place. After installing Game for Peace on your device, you can go about your day while it automatically taps into some of the energy and data traveling through your smartphone and uses it to create clean power for everyone around the world. Every device connected to the internet can play. Your "electricity meter" will be filled by the app when you are in sleep mode with no screens on, in standby mode with screens off or when you are not using your phone. When you are not using your phone, the app is doing its magic for peace, too! For example, when you're in a plane with Wi-Fi turned off, it's still working for peace. Even if you're blindfolded in a plane with Wi-Fi turned off, Game for Peace can still be playing video games online while your plane flies over places that need power. You can also use Game for Peace (abbreviated GfP) to give your phone some extra power while you're not using it! With it installed, your phone will automatically get filled by the app when you're in sleep mode with any screens off, when in standby mode with any screens off, or when in standby mode with any screens on. GfP is not just for peace - it's also good for the environment! It is based on an idea called "net-positive energy." Because our app makes electricity out of virtually nothing, it destroys no fossil fuels. Because our app generates clean power, people are encouraged to recycle their old phones when they upgrade their phones. So what's the catch? GfP is a free app, but it only works in countries with clean, reliable power. In order for our app to work, you must have a reliable network connection and a phone that can pull enough power from the grid to feed our app. In certain countries with unreliable or intermittent electricity or even when traveling abroad, this may not be possible. That is why we've partnered with Environment America in the USA and Greenpeace International in Europe in order to spread Game for Peace across Europe and North America. In fact, we've partnered with two of the most respected environmental organizations in the world because we believe their commitment to peace and environmental responsibility is an inspiration. We want to cultivate the creative energy of our app so that never again will we need to feel helpless in the face of threats to our environment. To create this brilliant idea, we worked with the creative team at The Fullbright Company who made "Gone Home." We also partnered with app designer Armin Tamalija who creates beautiful apps like "Minuum" and "Shazam." We're working on more free apps like this but charge money for them, too.
